Top 6 for Fantic’s Brian Bogers at MXGP of Germany Created: 2025-06-01

A double top-6 finish in the final MXGP race of the day and a season-best sixth overall for Brian Bogers marked a strong end to another intense weekend of racing in Teutschenthal, Germany, for Fantic Factory Racing.

Brian Bogers delivered his best ride of the season so far, securing a hard-fought sixth overall at the MXGP of Germany and clearly showing that his form is trending in the right direction. He battled inside the top 10 throughout Sunday, putting in a solid first race to cross the line in eighth.

Rain arrived for race 2 and Bogers felt right at home in the muddy and tricky conditions. The Dutchman got off to a strong start aboard his Fantic XXF 450, sneaking past teammate Glenn Coldenhoff to take fourth on the opening lap. He held the position for most of the race, and although he had to surrender one place with five laps to go, he secured a strong fifth for sixth overall.

Coldenhoff was sixth in race 2, ending a challenging weekend on a high. Sunday had started promisingly, with “The Hoff” powering out of the gate aboard his Fantic XXF 450 to place himself seventh in the early stages of race 1. However, things quickly took a turn as the Dutchman went down twice in the first two laps. He dropped to the back of the field and had to charge hard from outside the top 30. Coldenhoff dug deep, rode well, and pushed all the way to the finish to salvage 16th.

Race 2 went much more smoothly after a top-5 start, and sixth place for tenth overall was a welcome confidence boost for Coldenhoff, who currently holds fourth in the MXGP standings at the halfway point of the 2025 FIM Motocross World Championship season.

His teammate Andrea Bonacorsi remains seventh, despite not being able to perform at his full potential at the German GP due to illness. The Italian skipped Sunday’s warm-up to save his energy for the two all-important races and delivered a solid performance in race 1, joining teammate Bogers in the top 10. The Fantic duo had an exciting battle, and it was Bogers who came out on top, with “Bona” managing to hold on to ninth despite not being fully fit.

Unfortunately, Bonacorsi’s day ended early, as he encountered a problem at the start of race 2 and was forced to retire. He will get another chance next weekend, as MXGP heads to Kegums, Latvia, for the third GP of this intense triple-header.

Brian Bogers:
“It feels good to have such a positive and consistent weekend! P8 in race 1 was already solid, I was happy to be back in the top 10 after quite a while. For race 2, we had a lot of rain and, as we know, I like these conditions. Also, I took a good start, moved up to fourth and stayed there for most of the time. Only one rider passed me in the end, otherwise it could have been fourth overall, but still – I am happy with fifth in race 2 and sixth overall. I will take this result with both hands and want to bring the positive vibes to the next GP in Latvia.”

Glenn Coldenhoff:
“It was a tough one. I didn’t have the best week leading up to the GP – I wasn’t training, just trying to recover. At first, I didn’t feel comfortable, but we made some changes going into Sunday, and the feeling was better. If you just look at the results, they are obviously disappointing, but I took some confidence from my riding. It is very easy to start doubting after a few bad races in a row, but I feel like the confidence is coming back after today. I will do some good training this week – and we are heading to one of my favorite rounds in Latvia. I have a good feeling, and hopefully, we can be back on the podium there.”

Andrea Bonacorsi:
“I did everything I could to be as ready as possible for Sunday’s races, despite feeling unwell. Of course, the issue at the start of race 2 was disappointing, but my focus has already shifted to the next GP. The goal is to be fit and ready for Kegums!”
