Wilvo Yamaha MXGP travelled over to the United States this past weekend, as Jeremy Seewer was selected to represent Team Switzerland at the prestigious Motocross of Nations. The MXoN is the highlight of the season for industry members and fans alike, as riders from across the world travel to a location to battle it out.
Jeremy Seewer impressed in the Open qualifying heat on Saturday, as he started the race in fourth and ended in the same position. Team Switzerland were already at a disadvantage, however, as the MX2 rider withdrew with an injury. Seewer battled on though, as he started his first moto of the weekend inside of the top five and battled up front for the duration. The chequered flag was eventually hit in fifth, which was a strong result and the best that his nation captured on the day.
The second moto was not kind to Jeremy Seewer at all, despite a top-ten starting position, as he was struck down in a sloppy part of the track and eventually credited with thirty-fourth after some additional mistakes. Tenth was the spot that he acquired in the individual Open classification and Team Switzerland took twentieth in the final standings.
